Nearly every component of the Blackwing aircraft is designed, manufactured, and tested in-house. From the custom-built pedals to the carbon and glass fiber landing gear, every detail reflects precision engineering. The fully prepreg carbon airframe is the lightest and strongest in its class, capable of withstanding flight loads of +6/-3G, rigorously tested and approved.

The innovative design of the Blackwing aircraft stems from over 20 years of research in high-performance aerodynamics, delivering exceptional flight characteristics without the need for decelerating devices such as stall strips, vortex generators, or strakes. It is perfectly suited for both basic flight training and advanced piloting.

We proudly partner with Garmin to equip our aircraft with a state-of-the-art glass cockpit, ensuring a seamless and user-friendly flying experience. From the autopilot system to the on-board oxygen system.
Powered by Rotax

Blackwing is powered by the powerful Rotax 916is. The turbocharged, four-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine makes 160 hp and uses a dual-channel FADEC that combines boost control, ignition and fuel injection.
High-tech composite materials

Blackwing is built with cutting-edge Formula 1 technology, utilizing pre-preg autoclave methods with similar quality control as Airbus and SAAB aircraft.
Patented gear system

Our in-house developed carbon landing gear ensures superb handling on grass runways. The patented system retracts electrically into the fuselage, and includes an easy-to-use manual emergency extension.
Cross-country comfort

The upright seating position is built for comfort during long flights, with seats made out of memory foam. Both seats are adjustable up and down in four different positions to make room for tall pilots (up to 2m).
